Flaming Lucifer – Original Woolacombe Bay painting- Sold đź”´

“Flaming Lucifer” nothing says Summer to me more than the outburst of the Crocosmia “Lucifer” fire engine red flowers above Combesgate beach.

Originally from South Africa, the first hybrids were grown in French nurseries in the 1870’s.

Crocosmia “Lucifer” was first bred by Alan Bloom in the 1960’s.

Nothing fills me with more pleasure than to see their colourful red blooms splendidly dancing in the coastal breeze above the beaches in Woolacombe.
